With election season now fully in swing, I wanted to take a moment to share some updates on our campaign, some pictures from the trail, and some ways to get involved and show your support!
It's now been a little over 100 days since we launched our campaign to hold Virginia’s 7th district, and we’ve been spending as much time out in the community as we possibly can. We’ve been crisscrossing the district, joining events, and talking with voters about the issues most important to them.
At almost every event I hear from voters how concerned they are about this November’s election, and what could happen if Donald Trump retakes the White House and MAGA Republicans seize control of Congress. I’ve heard from mothers afraid for their daughter's safety if a national abortion ban is passed. Activists alarmed by plans to roll back voting rights. Federal employees are unsure if they can rely on their next paycheck because of the constant threat of another government shutdown.
Spending every day talking with the voters of this district has reaffirmed my motivation to run for office, to fight for our freedoms and our Democracy, and to end the extremism that has ground our government to a standstill.
I’m so proud to have so many supporters join us on this journey and to have them by my side as we fight for the values we believe in.
Updates from the Campaign Trail!
Earlier this week my wife and Cindy were proud to cast our ballots for President Biden in Virginia’s presidential primary – it was great to see so many folks get out (and brave the rain) to make their voice heard!
It has been great to be invited into so many homes by supporters and talk with them and their neighbors about the stakes of this election, and our vision for the future of this region.
Ahead of the March 5th primary, Cindy and I were excited to join Virginia Democrats from around the Commonwealth for an event with Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.
Earlier this week my team and I joined the Carpenters Union to tour their Training Facility. It was incredible to see their facility and talk with the instructors about their work to train the next generation of tradespeople, build state-of-the-art infrastructure, and provide a pipeline to financial success.
