Our Momentum Is Growing FAST! – April Recap
Hey everyone! We are now less than two months until the Virginia primary election and less than six months until Election Day in November! Today is not just the last day of April, but it is also an end of month deadline, so our team is busier than ever. We’ve had a lot of exciting things happen over the past month, so scroll down to see where we’ve been in April, and some exciting plans for May!
P.S. Early voting begins this week! Join us on the trail: https://vindmanforcongress.com/
On the trail
This was a busy month on the campaign trail. Our team hit every corner of the district in preparations for early voting. We began the month, like many of you, watching the eclipse from the district (with our approved eclipse glasses of course)!
With baseball season beginning here in the 7th, we also spent a night out cheering the Fred Nats at their home opener!
Throughout April, we met with voters across the 7th, from Stafford to Spotsy, joining meet and greets and other local events to help spread our pro-democracy message.
We finished the month by opening our first field office in the district in Woodbridge! Thank you to everyone who came out for the HUGE grand opening party!
With your support, we are fired up and ready to win in June and in November.
Endorsements
We also earned four major endorsements this month, three of which were from sitting members of Congress. First up, we earned the endorsement of General Wesley Clark, the former Supreme Allied Commander in Europe.
Next, we were proud to roll out the endorsements of Ohio Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, New York Congressman Pat Ryan, and North Carolina Congressman Wiley Nickel. With these three endorsements, we are building momentum that is going to propel our campaign all the way to Congress.
Finally, we were named a Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate. My children are the first generation to grow up having to do active shooter drills in schools. With gun violence on the rise, I was honored to receive this distinction. We can and will end this epidemic, together.
One Final Note
This election is the most important election of our lifetimes. From protecting reproductive rights to fighting the gun violence epidemic to protecting our democracy, I am running for Congress to put you and your families first each and every day.
Next week, early voting will begin here in Virginia, and with the upcoming Virginia primary election, our team needs all hands on deck to make sure we turn out enough voters to send us to the general election and keep this seat blue.
With that, if you have some spare time, consider signing up to volunteer for our campaign, and come join us for some fun time on the trail: https://vindmanforcongress.com/
Always in service,
Eugene Vindman
